Reported Missing Person: Kanaz Tuzo [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 30 year old Kanaz Tuzo, who has apparently been missing since Monday, February 24th.

Mr. Tuzo is described as light complexioned, 5’8” tall of thin build weighing 150 pounds, with curly low cut hair. He may be wearing a green/brown bubble jacket, jeans and brown shoes. In addition, Mr. Tuzo typically travels by bus or on foot.

Fourth Road Fatality of 2014: Tomasz Tabor

Police can now confirm the death of 36 year old Warwick resident, Tomasz Tabor who died in a road traffic collision that took place on Crow Lane at 11:24pm on Wednesday night.

It appears Tomasz was traveling east on his motorcycle when he lost control of his cycle and collided into the bus shelter. Tomasz was taken to the hospital where he later was pronounced dead.

Police responded to a report of a serious single vehicle road traffic collision that took place on Crow Lane at 11:24pm on Wednesday night. It appears that a 36 year old Warwick man was traveling east on his motorcycle when he lost control of his cycle and collided into the bus shelter.

The 36 year old man was taken to the hospital where he later was pronounced dead. No further information will be given until the next of kin has been notified.

Reported Missing Juvenile: Darius Usher [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating 16 year old Darius Usher, who has apparently been missing since Wednesday, February 19th.

He is described as brown complexioned of slim build, 6’ tall with an afro. The teenager was last seen wearing blue jeans, a striped shirt and construction type boots.

Weekend Police Activity

Over the weekend, police officers arrested one person on suspicion of impaired driving as the Selective Traffic Enforcement Programme (STEP) continues.

Officers also arrested 5 people for outstanding warrants and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.

Police Motorcycle Collision

Police responded to a report of a road traffic collision that took place a few minutes after 12pm today. It appears that an officer was participating in a training course for Police Motorcyclists, when the officer lost control of his cycle and ended up in the marsh area just east of Barnes’ Corner. The officer was transported via ambulance to the hospital with what appears to be non-life threatening chest injuries. Inquiries into this matter are ongoing.

2 Men In a Serious Road Traffic Collision and Missing Woman Found

Serious Road Traffic Collision - At approximately 3:52am Friday morning, first responders attended a report of a two vehicle road traffic collision that took place near the junction of Harbour Road and Valley Road in Paget. Details are sketchy however it appears that the collision took place involving a taxi and a motorcycle with two passengers, a 20 year old man and a 19 year old man. The 19 year old man is in guarded condition with head injuries and the 20 year man sustained a broken leg.

Missing Woman: 48 Year Old Marybeth Sherwin [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is still seeking the public’s assistance in locating g missing vulnerable person, 48 year old Marybeth Sherwin. She is described as a white female, small framed 5’6" tall 120 pounds and she was last seen on Sunday February 16th catching the ferry to Darrell’s Wharf.  Police have received information on her movements however, we  are still trying to locate her. Also anyone who may have seen Marybeth’s Green Suzuki Wagon R license plate number 05252 or knows her whereabouts, please contact police on 295-0011 immediately.

Police Donate $16,764.86 to the Bermuda Hospital Charitable Trust "This Is Why it Matters"

The Bermuda Police Service today donated a cheque of $16,764.86 to the Bermuda Hospital Charitable Trust’s, “This is Why it Matters” Campaign.

The money was raised through a series of events such as, Denim Days, car parking at police field, social events at the Police Recreation Club and a fundraiser at the Police Ball.

Death of Anthony Edwards

Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 51 year old Anthony Edwards who has succumbed to serious injuries suffered in a road traffic collision on Thursday February 6th at 3pm. Mr. Edwards had been travelling in a westerly direction on his motorcycle when he was involved in a collision with an open-back intermediate truck that was exiting Marley Beach Drive in Southampton Parish.
