Around 10pm on Saturday, March 8th police responded to a reported serious assault in the Hermitage Road, Devonshire area.
It appears that a 15 year old Warwick male was assaulted by two men, one brandishing a bladed article. At last check the teenager was being treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for a serious hand injury as well as a laceration to the neck; however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening at this time.
Police responded to a report of a road traffic collision that took place around 10:15am on North Shore Road in Devonshire, approximately 200 metres east of Barkers Hill.
It appears that a car was being driven along North Shore Road when it collided with roadside barriers and went down an embankment.
Police responded to a report of a road traffic collision that took place on Sunday night at 10:10pm. It appears that two vehicles, a car and a motorcycle, collided in the area of Marsh Folly Road by the Tennis Stadium.
As a result, a 34 year old man was taken to the hospital with what are believed to be serious head injuries. Traffic Collision Investigators were called to the scene and an investigation into the collision has begun.
At a 5pm Swearing In Ceremony on Thursday, March 6th held in the Prospect Police Recreation Club hall at Police Headquarters Devonshire, Commandant Designate Cannoth Roberts and Deputy Commandant Designate Ron-Michel Davis were officially sworn in as Commandant and Deputy Commandant of the Bermuda Reserve Police respectively.
Mr. Roberts was formerly Deputy Commandant while Mr. Davis was formerly a Reserve Police Chief Inspector.
The Bermuda Police Service has noticed a 50% increase since this time last year in the number of reported stolen motorcycles and auxiliary cycles and is seeking the public’s assistance to reverse this apparent trend.
Members of the public are reminded to lock their cycles using the handlebar lock as well as a supplementary lock before leaving them unattended and to report any suspicious persons or activity around parked cycles in their neighbourhoods, especially unknown individuals using trucks.

An apparent series of reported burglaries took place earlier this week in the Trimingham Hill, Seabright Avenue Paget area and the Watlington Road, Jubilee Road Devonshire area.
Inquiries into these six reported burglaries, four in Paget and two in Devonshire, are ongoing.
Around 4am on Saturday, March 1st first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Riviera Road.
It appears that an ambulance was being driven along Middle Road and a motorcycle was being ridden along the same road when the vehicles collided.
Around 6:35am on Friday, February 28th first responders were dispatched to a reported serious collision on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Industrial Park Road. Initial information suggested that a car and a motorcycle were involved.
However, it now appears that a female passenger exited a bus that stopped in the area and attempted to cross the road when she was struck by a motorcycle.
