As part of Police Week 2011, seven young people were chosen to be ‘Commissioners for a Day’ which was the prize for winning an annual essay and art competition held by the Bermuda Police Service for primary and middle school students across the island. As Police Week 2011’s theme is ‘Policing in the Community’ the students were asked to produce an essay or piece of artwork that captured their interpretation of police officers working in the community.
