Witnesses Sought After Pedestrian Hurt by ‘Hit & Run’ Motorcyclist

Approximately 1am Monday, May 21st police and fellow first responders attended a reported collision on Parliament Street in the City of Hamilton, near the junction with Church Street. It appears that a motorcyclist riding along Parliament Street struck a male pedestrian, knocking him to the ground. The offending motorcyclist then struck a nearby parked car, damaging its wing mirror, before falling to the ground.



Two Men Arrested After Front Street Altercation Caught on Video

Around 8pm Thursday, May 17th police officers and fellow first responders attended a reported disturbance on Front Street in the City of Hamilton, near the junction with Burnaby Street. It appears that two local men – believed to be 25 years old and 31 years old respectively – were involved in an altercation in the vicinity of No. 1 car park.



Female Visitor Hurt in Rental Scooter Crash Airlifted Overseas

At last check this morning (May 16th) the 44 year old American woman hurt in a single vehicle rental scooter crash around 6:50pm Monday, May 14th on Somerset Road in Sandys parish, near the junction with Morgan Hill, had been airlifted overseas for further medical treatment. She was initially admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and was listed in stable condition yesterday (May 15th).



Female American Visitor Stable in ICU After Rental Scooter Crash [Updated]

Around 6:50pm Monday, May 14th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle rental scooter crash on Somerset Road in Sandys parish, near the junction with Morgan Hill. It appears that the rider of a rental (50cc) scooter, believed to be a 44 year old South Carolina woman, was traveling west on Somerset Road when she struck a wall at the bottom of Scaur Hill and was thrown into the ocean approximately 15 feet below.



Man Arrested After Reported Disturbance Outside Woody’s in Sandys

Detectives are currently conducting inquiries regarding a reported disturbance outside Woody’s Sports Bar & Restaurant in Sandys parish that apparently occurred around 11:30pm Sunday, May 13th. It appears that two men were involved in an altercation with two other men, resulting in two of the men being stabbed. The individuals hurt – said to be a 47 year old Sandys parish man and a 45 year old Sandys parish man – were treated at the hospital for their injuries and later discharged.
